Partnership and Community Information

Supporting our local communities is at the heart of everything we do at ATTFE College.

We have a dedicated team of Partnership and Community Leads working with our community partners.

The role of the Partnership and Community Lead Team is to:

  • Identify and create new partnerships within our local community to provide positive and creative opportunities for learning
  • Promote ATTFE College courses and activities within our communities encouraging, supporting and enthusing residents to get involved
  • Support and attend community activities and events
  • Continue to understand our communities, their needs and barriers to learning and how we can better support this
  • To work with local secondary schools to promote our local offer for Post 16 learners

Partnership and Community Lead (Ollerton)

I’m Lee Brazier, the Partnership and Community Lead for ATTFE at the Dukeries site. I joined the team in January 2022 after spending several years as a support worker for adults with learning disabilities. In addition to being a Partnership and Community Lead with ATTFE, I am also one of the three Ollerton District Councillors that sit on Newark and Sherwood District Council.

My role, for me, is about engagement and connection, be it with learners, businesses, groups, organisations or individuals. I want to see the local communities thrive and local people to develop new skills and improve the knowledge they already have, either through education or community involvement.

If you are a member of a group that would like to get involved with ATTFE or are an employer looking to connect with our college, then please get in touch with myself or one of my colleagues.

I have lived in Ashfield for most of my life and have a passion for supporting opportunities for our local community to feel healthier and happier.

Lifelong learning can provide many benefits to individuals including supporting mental wellbeing and feeling more connected to your community.

My role at ATTFE aims to support and create opportunities for positive partnership working with relevant community organisations in the area, to promote the learning opportunities offered by ATTFE but also to support new and existing activities and initiatives that can benefit our community.

If you have an idea about how we could work together or would like to learn more about what ATTFE can offer please do not hesitate to get in touch.

I’m proud to be a Sutton lass. Dad was Recruiting Sergeant for the Sherwood Foresters when I was born at the Drill Hall on Alfreton Road. A local lad himself, after he left the army, we came back to Sutton. I grew up and was educated here, working locally for most of my career. My family and friends are here and  I’m now back home, working where I belong, still passionate about education and welfare.

In my role as Partnership & Community Lead at ATTFE, I hope we can work together and find new learning opportunities and activities for our community.
