On Monday 4th March, the college held their latest Stakeholder Engagement Event which was attended by over 40 local stakeholders from a range of community, voluntary and private sector organisations.

The event was an opportunity for ATTFE College to share information about the work they do to support the local community and demonstrate the impact achieved over the last 12 months.

Scott Forbes, Deputy CEO of the Skills Education Partnership was keynote speaker for the event, with presentations from Centre Parcs and Newark and Sherwood District Council also on the agenda to demonstrate effective examples of how they have worked together with the college. Attendees were also treated to a buffet lunch which was prepared by catering learners at the college.

ATTFE College launched their new In This Together Strategy at the event which aims to further build on the positive impact achieved, working together and making best use of resources to effectively support the local community. The new strategy will have 6 strategic themes which will guide the work and curriculum for ATTFE College over the next year, these include supporting:

  • Workplace wellbeing and Learning within local workplaces
  • Healthy and Wellbeing
  • Volunteering in the community
  • SEND and Inclusion
  • Children and families
  • Food and fuel poverty

Stakeholders attending were asked to commit their pledges to the new strategy, encouraging positive partnership working to support our local communities.

The event and new strategy were positively received by all attendees, with some great feedback.
