ECDL is made up of 2 qualifications: ECDL Essentials and ECDL Extra.
The course is designed to give a more in-depth knowledge and understanding of computer use for candidates wishing to gain a Level 2 qualification. It also provides a basis for those intending to go onto specialised or more advanced studies.
The qualification is widely recognised by employers as proof of ability and competence when working with IT.
How will I be assessed?
By achieving Modules 1, 2 and 7 only, candidates will be awarded ECDL Essentials Level 1 Certificate for IT Users (BCS Level 1).
By achieving Modules 3, 4, 6 and 8 candidates will be awarded ECDL Extra Level 2 Certificate for IT Users (BCS Level 2).
