Bulgarian for Beginners is for learners who have little to no knowledge of the language. The course includes all four skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening and will cover topics such as travelling, family, the weather and Bulgarian culture.

ESOL for Beginners

The intent of the course is to provide learners with basic phrases and grammar in English to allow them to function in everyday life. They will become familiar with the sound of the language and be able to answer basic questions. They will be able to understand, recall and pronounce correctly a range of words and expressions so as to be understood by a sympathetic native speaker. They will be able to read and write a limited number of words and phrases.

Topics will include:

  • Greetings, social niceties and everyday conversation
  • Describing oneself and family
  • Talking about the home
  • Job roles and workplaces
  • Healthy lifestyles
  • Weather and the environment
  • Shopping
  • Routines, including leisure time
  • Around town – places and travel
  • Likes and dislikes
  • Numbers, days, months, telling the time, colours and the English alphabet
  • U.K. culture and events
  • Basic grammar – verbs (with limited tenses), pronouns, adjectives and adverbs.

Attendees will receive an Entry 3 qualification in Personal and Social Development.

Spanish for Beginners

Spanish for Improvers is for learners who have some knowledge of the language and are seeking to develop their skills.
